Payroll compliance health checks provide an invaluable opportunity to 'test' your systems, examine control procedures and estimate the potential costs, interest and penalties before an official visit.
With our wide experience in payroll compliance, we can carry out a pre-audit health check on your procedures and records, using the same methods as the Inland Revenue use. If the audit exposes any areas of weakness or non-compliance, we will provide a full report of the findings, with an estimate of the financial penalties that are likely to be imposed, together with recommendations to correct any weaknesses in the procedures.
Typical areas tested are nominal cheque requisitions, petty cash disbursements, expense claims, corporate credit card payments, employee claims, employment status, entertaining, gifts, incentives, travel and the degree of compliance for Personal Incidental Expenses, PAYE Settlement Agreements, Extra-Statutory Concessions, Dispensations and Inland Revenue Authorised Mileage rates.
Advance knowledge of weakness in these areas, along with the estimated financial penalties of an official visit, enable management to determine the risk factors and take action before it is to late. This can 'save' organisations many thousands of pounds - a worthwhile investment.

Flexibility
We recognise that all organisations differ in their specific requirements. We can adapt, add additional elements or combine different units, or provide a truly bespoke presentation together with comprehensive reference material, tailored to your individual needs. One-to-one tutoring can also be provided.
Value for Money
In-house training is an effective method of stretching the training budget to accomplish more, particularly where a number of employees require training on the same subject. Instead of individual charges for each delegate, a one-off daily rate is charged, which can reduce the cost per delegate quite dramatically. Additional savings can be obtained by the elimination of costly travel and accommodation. For a full days course we will charge £897, for up to 5 delegates.
For additional delegates we charge £50 per delegate to cover additional manuals etc. We will also charge reasonable travel expenses, accommodation where necessary and VAT.
A small charge may be made for modifying existing courses to suit your individual programmes.
Convenience
The training can be arranged at a time, date, and venue to suit your priorities and staff availability.
Once we have agreed a programme, you can leave the organisation to us, leaving you simply to invite those who will benefit.
For training purposes we need a room large enough to take all the delegates and the provision of a table and enough room for a screen, video projector, etc. Clients are usually asked to provide a suitable screen and refreshments.
