With the number of Inland Revenue enquiries ever increasing it is essential that businesses understand the risk areas in an Inland Revenue audit - which now includes Student Loans, Working Family Tax Credits and National Minimum Wage!

The visits collect, on average, £100 million per year. Payroll records, petty cash systems, expense systems, benefits records and purchase ledgers of companies of all sizes are examined, leading to staggering settlements, from just a few £1,000's to many £100,000's.
On nearly all visits errors are found!

From considerable hands-on experience, the tutor will cover the tax exposure issues and NIC problem areas that can result in a tax settlement. In addition detailed guidance on the management of the audit and the auditors will be given. 

By the end of the day, delegates will have a full understanding of how the audit will be run, and the issues that they need to review and perhaps correct, either before the audit occurs or before the next one.
